Robin Walker began his musical training as a chorister at Ripon Cathedral. After a year as Organ Scholar at Blackburn Cathedral he began studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where his teachers included David Titterington, Patrick Russill, Naji Hakim and Nicholas Danby. He won the organ prize and graduated with honours and was awarded the Diploma of the RAM, the Academy's Gold Medal.

Whilst studying in London Robin was Director of Music at Hinde Street Methodist Church. He and has since held the same post at St Giles-in-the-Fields, near Tottenham Court Road, and St Mary's, Hampstead. He also served as Assistant Master of Music at HM Chapel Royal, St Peter ad Vincula within the Tower of London. On moving to Florence he took up the post of Director of Music at St Mark's Anglican Church, and since January 2011 has been Organist at La Badia Fiorentina (Florence Abbey), where he plays the 1558 Zeffirini organ.

Alongside his regular recital commitments he has focused on two specific areas; the encouragement and performance of new music for the organ, and the Renaissance and Baroque English instrument and its repertoire. In January 2009 Robin worked with Frederic Frahm to record many of his organ works in New Mexico, USA.   In March 2011 he released a new disc, recorded on the Baroque organ of St Giles-in-the-Fields, London, restored by William Drake, entitled ‘Bull to Blow' (Herald).

Robin first met John Ellis and played his music at the Annual Festival of New Organ Music in October 2007 in London. Since that time he has included many of Dr. Ellis' pieces in his recitals, always with a very positive response. Robin looks forward to sharing this music with audiences for many years to come.
