Avison: 12 Concerti Grossi after Scarlatti

Charles Avison's best known works (and just about the only ones known until recently) are the 12 Concerti Grossi adapted from keyboard sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti. Possibly one of the great masterpieces of the English baroque, here in fine new performances by the Avison Ensemble - recently described as "probably one of Europe's top period-instrument ensembles."
